Thank you for visiting my site. I now work exclusively in watercolor, for which I feel a particular affinity, and in which I have specialized for the last 20 years.

As you can see in the gallery, my style is a painterly realism with high color saturation. Many of my works are commissioned, and if you are interested in commissioning a work please click here.

Much of the art featured in the gallery has been shown in galleries or museums, and most is available for sale, many in the form of prints or cards as well.

Judi formal with flowersBorn in New Jersey and raised on the East Coast, Judi Sanders began to draw when she was first able to hold a pencil and started painting shortly thereafter.

After moving to California, she put her brushes aside to raise her two children and build a successful career in biotech administrative services.

She returned to art seriously upon her move to Sonoma County in 1999. She has studied with Ralph Ledesma, Jane Hofstetter, Judy Greenberg, Philip Buller, Marsha Connell, Wendy Mattson, Susan Cornelis, Susan Adams, and Tricia Reichert. Judi’s style is a painterly realism with high color saturation.

Judi’s work has been juried into many shows, and is held in numerous private collections.

A long-time member of the Watercolor Artists of Sonoma County (WASCO), the Nipomo Arts Council, and a signature member of the Central Coast Watercolor Society, Judi maintains a studio at her home.
